Design Engineer

About the Role: Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We are looking for a Design Engineer to take full ownership of the look, feel, and experience of our marketing and documentation sites. In this role, design and code are fully intertwined — you will move from identifying what needs improving to building and deploying it yourself.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end design and experience of supabase.com sites, including the marketing website, documentation site, and mini-sites.
• Develop and ship live pages using modern front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Vite).
• Evolve the design system and reusable components to keep sites consistent and scalable.
• Refine illustrations, diagrams, and messaging to improve technical clarity.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Engineering, and Docs teams to ensure every page is clear and useful.

What You Bring

• You are genuinely both a designer and a front-end developer, as comfortable in code as you are in Figma.
• Ability to write production-quality front-end code using React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and component libraries (shadcn/Radix/Base UI).
• Experience actively using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) to experiment and ship.
• Experience designing and building for developers or technical audiences (dev tools, crypto, tech startups, AI).
• Ability to work async and independently in a globally distributed team.
