Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Deployment & Maintenance Software Engineer to join our core global Engineering team in a full-time remote capacity within Pakistan or India. In this critical infrastructure seat, you will claim individual technical accountability for the seamless setup, ongoing software release tracking, and site reliability of Derq’s live platform instances across multi-national client projects. Moving entirely past passive systems monitoring, you will serve as a core technical driver who interfaces directly with Project Management, Software Systems, and DevOps squads to optimize server configurations, deploy patches, and minimize service downtime. This high-agency role demands a proactive software professional who commands strong Linux administration roots, understands network routing constraints deeply, and possesses a practical, step-by-step approach to troubleshooting distributed server architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Software System Tuning: Configure, align, and refine Derq’s core software components across remote systems to secure high availability, optimal data ingestion processing speeds, and structural durability.
• Linux Server Maintenance: Perform continuous administration, optimization, and root-cause debugging operations natively inside Linux/Ubuntu operating environments.
• Automation Script Development: Author, test, and execute clear background automation scripts and internal filesystem helpers natively utilizing Python Scripting and basic Bash code blocks.
• Multi-Site Deployment Execution: Deploy, verify, and validate system code releases efficiently onto brand new client hardware and newly commissioned regional traffic intersections.
• Network Architecture Triage: Triage and resolve complex network communication bottlenecks, secure transport ports, and port-forwarding blocks by demonstrating clear mastery of TCP/UDP, NAT layers, static/dynamic routing, and port mapping.
• Live Telemetry and Uptime Tracking: Monitor live production systems metrics, executing critical software updates, environment setting synchronizations, and emergency security patches quickly to minimize client-facing downtime.
• System Diagnostic Auditing: Diagnose server-side and client-side connectivity blocks natively utilizing low-level command tools, including **SSH, ping, traceroute, and ifconfig/ip**.
• Exhaustive Environment Documentation: Create and maintain pristine technical documentation records tracking software release histories, hardware layout constraints, and specific site topology settings.
• Global Collaborative Sprints: Overlap 4 to 5 hours daily with multi-regional product cells to handle cross-functional feature integrations, while participating in occasional on-call shifts to support global clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-3 years of verified professional history running advanced server configuration management, software deployment engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure technical support tracks.
• Demonstrated commercial experience maintaining, updating, and operating multi-tenant software systems natively within a **Linux/Ubuntu** environment.
• Hands-on script development capabilities, highlighting a verified history writing programmatic automation scripts inside **Python Scripting** or Bash.
• Deep, authoritative technical command of networking fundamentals, including secure credential management over **SSH**, public vs private IP schemas, and data transport layers.
• Outstanding problem-solving logic, with a demonstrated capability to isolate abstract infrastructure failures and handle connectivity triage step by step.
