Job Description
ProArch, a global technology firm founded in 2006, is seeking an experienced DBA Manager to lead their database administration team. This role requires a hands-on manager who can drive operational excellence, mentor team members, and ensure the reliability and security of database systems. You will balance managing budgets and resources with deep technical work in Oracle 19c environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the database administration team, setting goals, priorities, and development plans.
- Core DBA Operations: Oversee installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of Oracle 19c environments.
- Support & Incident Management: Provide support for critical database incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to align database solutions with business needs.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and report database health, ensuring systems meet high availability and performance standards.
- Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce database security, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices.
Requirements
- Oracle Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle 19c database administration.
- Performance Tuning: Hands-on expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Architecture: Hands-on experience managing Multitenant Architectures (CDB/PDB).
- Scripting: Knowledge in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Bash.
- Backup & Recovery: Expert-level knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN.
- Patching: In-depth experience with patching Oracle databases.
