Position Overview
We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Copywriter to join our core marketing and creative collective in a full-time, 100% remote capacity open exclusively to candidates residing in Oregon or Washington. In this execution-heavy brand storytelling and conversion optimization seat, you will claim individual operational ownership over developing clear, concise, and attractive messaging across all external publishing areas. Moving far beyond abstract draft production, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, and internal communications squads to translate complex strategic initiatives into actionable marketing copy. This high-agency role demands a seasoned writer who commands deep search engine and artificial intelligence engine optimization metrics, excels at managing freelance content networks, and can smoothly prioritize competing projects in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Omnichannel Content Generation: Author, structure, and refine creative, compelling, and consistent themes across all communication touchpoints, including print ads, videos, promotional emails, official letters, and social media.
- Conversion-Optimized Web Copywriting: Code high-converting, engine-optimized textual layouts natively tailored for public websites, landing pages, and marketing banners to attract perspective credit union members.
- SEO & AIO Article Curation: Research, map, and write search engine optimized (SEO) and artificial intelligence optimized (AIO) blog topics and deep-dive articles that drive members to take measurable actions.
- Linguistic Quality & Compliance Governance: Edit, proofread, and audit ongoing text assets to ensure messages are grammatically perfect, error-free, aligned with credit union themes, and fully compliant with financial industry regulations.
- Freelance Contributor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external freelance copywriters, systematically assigning, reviewing, grading, and directing their programmatic output.
- Linguistic Analytics & Performance Review: Monitor and assess the lifecycle performance of distributed content by analyzing user impressions, search query trends, and structural keyword searches.
- Style Guide Standard Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and publish unified corporate copywriting guidelines and style playbooks in alignment with internal communications teams to preserve brand consistency.
- Cross-Functional Resource Triaging: Consult with multiple internal business lines to extract project requirements, balance competing project queues from start to finish, and participate as a marketing subject matter expert.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of verified professional history running digital content development, conversion copywriting, copywriting editing, or digital performance marketing.
- Proven, hands-on master-tier execution writing clear, concise, and result-driven text for a wide variety of media including print, social, video, and email.
- Deep, practical understanding of full-funnel search engine optimization (SEO) primitives, keyword mapping tools, and search engine results page (SERP) performance metrics.
- Demonstrated history collaborating across multi-stakeholder corporate structures, managing constructive feedback loops, and aligning copy with strategic compliance priorities.
- Outstanding organizational mechanics and time-management skills, with a track record of meeting rigid publishing schedules independently with minimal direction.
- Location Constraint Framework: Full-time remote parameters open exclusively to qualified digital copywriters permanently residing within Oregon (OR) or Washington (WA).
- Application Timing Note: Position targets an explicit application closing window of June 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM PST, with potential for early selection cycles.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- A Bachelor’s Degree focused natively on English Literature, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related quantitative field of study.
- Prior professional or contract experience writing copy for a retail credit union, consumer banking network, fintech application, or regulatory financial service platform.
- Familiarity with digital content management systems, looker studio metrics dashboards, or marketing automation platforms like Greenhouse or Salesforce.
- Active habit of leveraging modern artificial intelligence language tools (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude) to accelerate background research and layout ideation frameworks.
What We Offer
- Competitive Calibrated Compensation: An attractive target annual base salary range calibrated between $93,456 – $106,200 USD (with a full range structure up to $127,440 USD), supplemented by performance-based corporate incentive targets.
- The exceptional professional canvas to directly write, own, and optimize the external brand voice delivering vital financial transparency to local communities.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering regular business hours (Monday through Friday) and complete lifestyle balance with zero geographical commute drag.
- 100% Employer-Paid Medical Coverage: Access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options paid at 100% by the company for the employee-only coverage tier.
- Immediate availability to enroll in a corporate 401(k) retirement plan, supplemented by a Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions, and flexible spending structures (HCFSA/DCFSA).
- Robust paid time off packages, including the monthly accrual of 8 hours of vacation leave and 8 hours of sick leave, 11 paid calendar holidays, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of dedicated volunteer time.
