Study.com is the leading educational website with lessons, courses and practice for students, teachers, and adult learners. We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Community Engagement Specialist to join our team as a contractor and to monitor relevant subreddits for discussions and participate in Reddit discussions by providing genuinely helpful, informative responses that naturally highlight Study.com's value. This is a fully remote, online contract role. All work is paid hourly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor relevant subreddits for discussions related to our brand and our products.
• Participate in Reddit discussions by providing genuinely helpful, informative responses that naturally highlight Study.com's value where relevant
• Build a credible, trusted presence across relevant subreddits through consistent, long-term engagement
• Identify trending topics, pain points, and questions within the online education space to inform engagement opportunities
• Track Study.com brand mentions across Reddit and respond to inquiries, reviews, and comments in a timely and authentic manner
• Flag negative sentiment, misinformation, or competitor mentions to the team for escalation
• Submit daily activity logs with links to all posts, comments, and interactions completed during each shift
• Provide weekly performance summaries highlighting wins, challenges, and recommendations

Required Skills:

• At least 2 years of proven experience engaging on Reddit (i.e., a Reddit account that is at least 2 years old with an established history) OR at least 2 years of community engagement experience on other platforms.
• Deep familiarity with Reddit's ecosystem: subreddit cultures, community norms, posting etiquette, and what gets flagged or removed
• Strong writing skills with a natural, conversational tone; ability to craft responses that are helpful and informative first, promotional second
• Understanding of how community platform engagement contributes to brand visibility and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
• Self-motivated and capable of maintaining consistent engagement over the long term without direct supervision

The Contract Process

1. Complete the application and submit with your resume.
2. Applications are approved and contracts sent on Wednesdays.
3. Submit the contract within the 5-day signing window.
4. The following Wednesday, you’ll receive onboarding instructions.
