Work Schedule:

This role is expected to require 20 hours per week (then eventually transition to 40 hours at $2,500 AUD/month). As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Our client is a boutique Australian marketing consultancy that specialises in helping healthcare professionals grow through clear, practical, and data-driven marketing strategies. They’re known for their approachable, down-to-earth working style and focus on delivering real, tangible results rather than overcomplicated agency talk. With a small and collaborative team, they offer a supportive environment where new team members can contribute meaningfully, learn quickly, and be involved in a variety of marketing and administrative initiatives.

Role Overview:

The Brand & Digital Designer is responsible for delivering high-end, distinctive creative output across the company’s client portfolio — from complete brand identity systems through to website design, digital collateral, and social media brand kits. This role is the creative engine of the agency, ensuring every visual touchpoint reflects the premium positioning of the company’s healthcare clients and stands apart in a competitive market.

This is a senior creative role suited to a designer with a proven track record building sophisticated brand identities and designing website experiences that are both visually exceptional and grounded in UX/UI best practice. The ideal candidate brings strategic creative thinking alongside exceptional craft — someone who understands that great design for healthcare businesses must earn trust, communicate authority, and convert.

The role begins as part-time with a clear pathway to full-time engagement within 12 months, based on performance and agency growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Identity & Development
  • Lead the development of complete brand identity systems for healthcare clients, from initial concept through to full brand guidelines
  • Create distinctive, high-end visual identities including logo design, colour palettes, typography systems, iconography, and brand language
  • Develop comprehensive brand guidelines documentation that enables consistent application across all channels and touchpoints
  • Conduct brand discovery and strategic briefing sessions in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to ensure creative output is aligned with client objectives and target audience
  • Evolve and refresh existing client brand identities where required, maintaining equity whilst elevating visual standards
  • Ensure all brand work differentiates clients within the healthcare sector and reflects the premium positioning company delivers
  • Website Design & UX/UI
  • Design high-converting, visually sophisticated websites and landing pages that reflect each client’s brand identity and meet UX/UI best practice standards
  • Develop wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes in Figma to define and communicate design intent before build
  • Apply strong knowledge of web design principles including layout hierarchy, responsive design, accessibility, and conversion-focused page structure
  • Collaborate closely with the web development team to ensure design intent is accurately translated into the final built product
  • Design within Webflow and WordPress frameworks where required, with an understanding of the constraints and possibilities of each platform
  • Stay current with web design trends, interactions, and emerging UX patterns to ensure company’s web output remains best-in-class
  • Graphic Design & Digital Collateral
  • Produce a wide range of on-brand graphic design deliverables including social media brand kits, content templates, flyers, brochures, presentations, and advertising creative
  • Design social media asset suites that provide clients with a cohesive, flexible visual system for use across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
  • Create advertising creative assets for Meta and Google campaigns in collaboration with the paid media team, ensuring creative is optimised for performance as well as brand consistency
  • Develop presentation templates, proposal decks, and other business collateral that reflect client brand standards
  • Maintain organised asset libraries and design file structures that enable efficient retrieval and future adaptation of creative work
  • Creative Process & Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to understand client objectives, campaign requirements, and creative briefs before commencing design work
  • Participate in creative briefing and feedback sessions, demonstrating the ability to receive and incorporate direction whilst contributing strategic creative input
  • Collaborate with developers, SEO specialists, and paid media team members to ensure design decisions support broader marketing and performance outcomes
  • Manage multiple concurrent design projects across different clients, meeting agreed timelines without compromising quality
  • Contribute to the ongoing elevation of the company’s own brand standards and creative output
  • Systems & File Management
  • Maintain clean, well-organised Figma files and design systems that are accessible and usable by collaborating team members
  • Develop and document design systems and component libraries where appropriate to support efficient, consistent design production
  • Ensure all final design files are accurately documented and archived
