AWS Senior Data Engineer

About the Role: At EPAM NEORIS, we believe that transformation begins with people. We are looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and platforms using AWS services. You will build and evolve data architectures such as data lakes, lakehouses, or data meshes, and develop end-to-end data solutions including reusable frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and platforms using AWS services.
• Build and evolve data architectures such as data lake, lakehouse, or data mesh.
• Develop end-to-end data solutions, including reusable frameworks and not just individual pipelines.
• Actively collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps profiles to deliver high-value solutions for the business.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and information management policies.
• Lead the resolution of data-related incidents and participate in change management processes, demonstrating ownership of projects from inception to delivery.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in Cloud environments.
• Solid knowledge of Spark (Scala), Python, and SQL.
• Demonstrable experience in AWS, especially with S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, and Lambda.
• In-depth knowledge of ETL design and data modeling.
• Ability to understand end-to-end processes and make appropriate technical decisions according to the context, identifying edge cases and scalability challenges.
• University degree in technological fields, preferably Computer Engineering or similar, with an Advanced English Level.
• Bonus: Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), Apache Iceberg, data quality frameworks (Great Expectations or Deequ), Bash, and HCL.
