Job Description

About the Role: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises. As a leader within the GEDI (Gender, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) Unit, you will enable the IRC to put its commitments into action. Reporting to the Chief GEDI Officer, you will oversee strategic planning, project delivery, and change management to ensure effective execution of the GEDI Action Plan.

What You'll Do

  • Spearhead the creation and ongoing optimization of the GEDI Action Plan dashboard, ensuring robust tracking of progress.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple complex projects and partner with departments to streamline processes.
  • Support the Chief GEDI Officer in growing the Equality Hub and lead the implementation of global GEDI initiatives.
  • Articulate the GEDI vision, develop technical reports, and direct the planning and execution of departmental meetings.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the GEDI Department Manager and collaborate with GEDI Directors.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in GEDI, gender, and inclusion strategy at a global scale.
  • Exceptional organizational, cross-functional project management, and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of advising stakeholders at all levels, particularly senior leadership, with strong meeting facilitation skills.
  • Comfort leveraging data and AI-powered tools to drive efficiency and inform decision-making.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French, Arabic, or Spanish is a strong plus.
