Applied Machine Learning Engineering Manager (LLMs & Agents)

Shopify is looking for an Applied Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead teams in its "engine room of innovation." Your role is to guide ML engineers in making strategic decisions that advance LLMs, Agents, and address large-scale real-world problems. You will redefine connections between millions of merchants and buyers by enhancing search, refining recommendations, and personalizing experiences.

Requirements

• Management Experience: Extensive experience managing teams to implement large-scale ML models.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Python and deep proficiency in TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Problem Solving: Proven problem-solving skills in complex, real-world product environments.
• Interview Readiness: You must be prepared for a live pair programming session (bring your own IDE).
• On-Call: This role may require on-call work.
