Job Summary

Storyblok is scaling rapidly. As AI Operations & Automation Manager, you will own the optimisation of the Operations (finance and people teams) application stack and you will assume end‑to‑end ownership of the finance-specific tech stack. Your primary objective will be to optimise existing Operations processes and elevate them to best-in-class standards. By championing automation and process optimization with the help of AI and other leading tools, you will boost data quality and integrity as well as maximise output of the existing resources. Partnering with Operations as well as Sales, Product, Data, and Revenue Operations, you will guide system changes, shape development roadmaps, and safeguard data integrity company‑wide. Your blend of technical depth, AI affinity and finance expertise will keep our infrastructure running smoothly, unlock faster, cleaner insights for every team, and enable you to step in hands‑on wherever your skills add the most significant value.

Essential Job Functions

  • Process Automation & AI Implementation: Identifying, designing, and implementing automation opportunities using AI tools, machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline workflows. Spot bottlenecks in processes and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • AI Tool Optimization: Proactively monitor the automation and AI landscape, produce structured assessments for new tools, and lead stakeholder alignment for the adoption or deprecation of tooling, owning the outcome of these decisions. Monitoring, maintaining, and improving the existing AI toolchain to ensure data governance and continuous performance improvements.
  • Risk Management: Using AI for proactive, predictive maintenance and risk assessment to prevent operational failures, with main focus in Finance, Human Resources and Operations.
  • Performance Tracking (ROI): Defining and monitoring key metrics (e.g., efficiency gains, reduction in manual effort) to measure the success of automated solutions.
  • Support month‑end close and internal reporting: support the optimisation of the financial close process; automate data extracts and variance analyses as well as other recurring processes.
  • Ownership of finance tools: such as NetSuite Oneworld, Sigma, Spiff, Yokoy, Deel, and others, and their integrations/APIs, ensuring configurations align with finance policies and ensuring an accurate data flow, manage any external consultants.
  • Information‑security projects and audits: implement technical solutions that enhance our security posture, and support ISO 27001/SOC 2 or other audits.
  • Data integrity, backups, and availability: Schedule and monitor system exports, snapshots, and core‑IT backups; maintain retention policies to guarantee data completeness and recoverability.
  • User support, training, and documentation: troubleshoot finance‑system issues, maintain runbooks, and deliver regular training sessions to all Operations teams and other stakeholders on system usage and security best practices.
  • Collaborate and Coach the HRIS Manager who owns the HR systems/tech stack in identifying and implementing automation opportunities and AI usage to improve efficiencies, while keeping the employee experience in mind.

Education and Experience

Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Informatics,, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) and/or NetSuite credentials (SuiteFoundation, Administrator) are a plus, but not a deal‑breaker.

Overall Experience: Minimum 6+ years in finance or HR/people operations, or workflow automation in operations/backoffice departments in fast-paced companies, ideally within a SaaS or technology‑driven environment.
