Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team in the transport and logistics industry. The successful candidate will manage the full accounts receivable process, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate customer account records. This role also provides support across cash management, payroll administration, and accounts payable as required.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of debtor transactions.
  • Coordinate debtor management and monitor outstanding receivables, following up with customers to ensure payments are made within agreed trading terms.
  • Prepare and issue customer statements, credit notes, and process/allocate customer receipts accurately within the accounting system.
  • Conduct credit checks and process new account applications.
  • Support cash management processes and assist with general ledger data entry.
  • Provide backup support to Accounts Payable, including creditor data entry, coding, and purchase order processing.
  • Assist with payroll administration support, including wage/superannuation journals and salary updates.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Officer role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing debtor ledgers, credit control, and payment follow-ups.
  • Exposure to cash management and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience using in-house accounting systems (Translogix highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
