Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Software Engineer in Test to join our core centralized Quality Assurance automation collective in a full-time remote capacity restricted to candidates resident in the US West Coast (California, Oregon, or Washington). In this high-leverage software engineering seat, you will step up to claim individual technical accountability for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks that protect our file-based broadcast workflows and high-profile live streaming services. Shifting completely away from passive record-and-playback validation or generic clerical ticket logging, you will operate as a programmatic developer in test embedded directly within the code creation cycle. This role requires a disciplined software craftsman with 2+ years of automated testing background who architectures clean execution frameworks fluidly, interfaces smoothly with RESTful APIs, and navigates live terminal debugging sessions to identify root causes before products reach global sports, music, and television networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automated Test Framework Ownership: Design, develop, and govern scalable, robust end-to-end automated test frameworks and test suite architectures to enable timely product releases with minimal regression risks.
  • Programmatic Pipeline Testing Execution: Code, optimize, and maintain comprehensive test suites natively utilizing Automation Engineer parameters, executing intensive functional, negative, performance, and boundary conditions test models.
  • CI/CD Test Infrastructure Curation: Deploy, configure, and maintain stable continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate execution, evaluations, and structured reporting loops natively leveraging QA Engineer workflows.
  • Full-Stack Scripting and API Verification: Program clean test scripts and tools to validate software components, consuming multi-tenant RESTful APIs smoothly via object-oriented programming frameworks (e.g., C# or TypeScript).
  • UI and Frontend Automation Testing: Construct and scale maintainable user-interface test arrays across cloud-native environments, explicitly leveraging advanced web drivers like Playwright or Selenium.
  • Media Workflow and Signal Auditing: Inspect, analyze, and test file-based broadcast channels and streaming parameters, utilizing digital media processing applications explicitly including FFmpeg and OBS.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Defect Tracking: Track down, document, and isolate complex software defects systematically, leveraging code coverage tools to reveal system testing gaps and verifying fixes directly with core developers.
  • Hands-On Infrastructure Evaluation: Own and manage active cloud testing topologies, demonstrating absolute comfort manipulating cloud platforms and resolving environment scenarios in a shared terminal.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of verified professional history running advanced software test automation, quality assurance engineering, continuous integration tracking, or backend test framework consulting.
  • Deep, authoritative technical command of object-oriented programming (OOP), relational database concepts, software design patterns, and repository workflows using Git.
  • Expert-tier scripting proficiency building functional UI or integration verification components natively leveraging Automation Engineer toolsets (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
  • Production-tested experience configuring, scaling, and verifying software stability within automated pipelines natively utilizing QA Engineer testing principles.
  • Proven capability to independently troubleshoot complex, distributed software issues under compressed timelines, delivering highly detailed root-cause mitigation summaries.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication traits in fluent English, with an absolute capacity to cooperate smoothly alongside software engineering cells and discuss infrastructure code layers.
  • Academic Baseline Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or a closely aligned quantitative engineering discipline.
  • Location Context and Work Authorization: Open exclusively to qualified candidates based permanently within **California, Oregon, or Washington, United States** carrying permanent legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior commercial history operating within a digital media infrastructure firm, broadcast network company, high-growth video streaming platform, or professional hardware-software proptech.
  • Familiarity with advanced broadcast engineering specifications and transport protocols, explicitly including SDI or ST 2110 digital audio-video network standards.
  • Demonstrated experience building automated test setups and validating infrastructure variables through infrastructure-as-code deployment engines like **Terraform**.
  • An outcome-driven personal philosophy that values directness about what you know, thrives when given full ownership of unscripted problem spaces, and enjoys backing up technical claims in live terminal environments.

What We Offer

  • The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, shape, and code-engineer the automated test infrastructures and validation layers safeguarding the high-profile live streaming events watched by millions globally.
  • Highly competitive, capability-benchmarked full-time baseline salary packages calibrated precisely to evaluate your quality engineering authority, supplemented by comprehensive benefits.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters providing an elite digital workplace, complete scheduling trust, and zero physical geographic office commuting friction across the US West Coast.
  • Immediate eligibility to enroll in comprehensive corporate **Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage packages starting from day one**.
  • Access to an outstanding investment retirement program, offering a **401(k) matching structure mirroring up to 8% of your yearly salary**.
  • Secure long-term financial safety nets, featuring **100% company-paid life insurance and short-term/long-term disability** protection programs.
  • Elite personal and lifestyle calibration perks, including quarterly corporate HSA boosts, flexible time-off configurations for salaried employees, generous paid company holidays, and comprehensive corporate pet insurance benefits.
